Would the Force be a Good Superpower?

So recently I’ve been thinking, and I ask to my viewers the simple question, would the force be a good superpower?

Say for example you were in a tennis court (I’ve had this happen to me a lot) and one of the players hits the ball such that it flys out of the court and is just out of your reach. With the force, instead of having to:

  • run around the court to the door
  • run out to the ball
  • pick up the ball
  • and run back to the court

one could just

  • use the force to lift the ball back over the net
  • keep playing

Still not convinced? What if you were running late to a class or some big event and you needed to cross a flat surface quickly? Without the Force, you would have to:

  • jog or sprint
  • be out of breath
  • become sweaty
  • still take a long time
  • drop anything you’re carrying in the process

but with the force, you could:

  • force run to your destination
  • continue without looking like you’re late

Are you still not convinced? Consider the common crowded hallway. There’s 30 seconds to the bell and your teacher is totally strict and won’t cut you any slack. Without the force you would have to:

  • push your way through the masses
  • learn about how salmon swim upstream (I’ll give you a hint, it’s not easy)
  • make some not nice friends
  • and possibly not make it to class on time

Now consider the force. If you had the force, you could just:

  • activate your awesomely cool force powers to run on the wall
  • make it to class on time while impressing all

Need I say more? Now for another simple question, what other superpowers would be cool to have? And better yet, is the Force really a superpower? Comment below on your thoughts.

P.S. On the subject of Star Wars, what Force post wouldn’t be complete without a good lightsaber duel?

(not my video, but still cool anyway!)
